In May 1998, Planinski kvintet made their television debut in Slovenia on a weekly cultural program called "Po Domače" taped at the RTV Studios in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, during a brief three-stop tour. The program was hosted by Jože Galič and featured performance of two original songs that would later appear on Planinski kvintet's first CD. The songs were "Kanadska polka" and "Pogrešam Domovino". In between the songs, Milan and Mike sat down for an interview with Galič, discussing a bit about the history of the band and our planned tour the following summer.

The following year, Planinski kvintet was again featured on another Slovenian program entitled "Slovenci po Svetu", again airing from RTV Studios but taped in the Toronto area with Planinski kvintet's segment filmed at the Slovenian Hunters and Anglers club. The program featured profiles on band members Mike Gregorič and Bill Kocjančič. The program was focusing on Slovenians in Canada and also included a segment with Walter Ostanek, Canada's Grammy winning polka king who is also of Slovenian decent.

Most recently, Planinski kvintet went on a two-week exclusive tour of Slovenia to promote their new cd "Z Glasbo Vas Pozdravljamo", and again taped a cultural program called "Vsakdanjik in Praznik" from the RTV Studios in Ljubljana. Singer Boris Kopitar hosted the program. Featured were three songs from Planinski kvintet's first album: the title track polka "Z glasbo vas pozdravljamo", the waltz "Moja Slovenija", and the button-box waltz "Pesem je najlepša stvar".

Later on the same tour, Planinski kvintet taped an hour-long TV special for Vaš Kanal (Novo Mesto) at Grad Otočec. The show was taped in several spots on the castle grounds and featured all 10 tracks from the CD "Z glasbo vas pozdravljamo". On the day of the taping, Planinski kvintet was performing at the Otočec Tennis Centre in a concert that was broadcast live on Radio Ognjišče. The band had to rush to complete the taping once they had taken their sound-check for the concert. The program has aired in Slovenia several times.
